Would you like to make a positive contribution to the welfare of older people?
Spiritual well-being – distinct from religious affiliation or belief – as a universal need, is a cornerstone of MHA’s positive approach to ageing and we aim to provide the highest quality care and support for older people of all faiths and none.
You will build good working relationships with local faith communities and take the lead on pastoral care, spiritual and worship aspects of life within these care homes.
You will need to be in good standing with your own faith community.
An empathetic understanding of spiritual aspects of ageing and dementia, demonstrated through experience of providing pastoral care and, ideally, leading services, is essential.
Lend us your voice...
MHA began because of the vision, dedication and enthusiasm of a small group of Methodist volunteers who wanted to improve the quality of life of older perople, inspired by Christian concern. Can you help us to continue the story of over 70 years of caring and keep the well-being of older people on your church agenda?
We need help to administer our annual Methodist Homes Sunday appeal in your circuit. This involves sharing out resources between churches and passing on any donations.
You could make a difference to the lives of older people in our care.
