"Praying for all our Key Workers"

Welcome

To Bury St Edmunds Methodist Circuit

The Circuit's Mission is "to live and share the Good News of God's Love in Christ"

Ixworth Methodist Church

Please be aware that all regular Sunday services, events and other activities on our premises are currently suspended due to the Coronavirus situation.

Welcome and we are delighted that you are accessing the Bury St Edmunds circuit website.  Things have had to change, so what’s going on……….. well…………..

The church is no longer in the church buildings but there is a church in every home and we are reaching out to people across the world.

Every week we produce a newsletter with circuit news, it is so important that we keep in touch with one another – this you can see below.

SUNDAY WORSHIP

Every week we are producing a worship sheet which you can find at  https://www.burystedmundsmethodistcircuit.org.uk/185207545757.htm  This is posted out to those without internet access.

Ready for Posting

Here are over 100 worship sheets and newsletters ready for posting

We are also video recording the service every week which you can find at http://www.trinitymethodistchurch.org.uk/corona.htm#1June

Daily Worship

Each day  there is a thought for the day posted every morning on the website which you can access at https://www.burystedmundsmethodistcircuit.org.uk/176052272319.htm

We may not be meeting in the way that we have for hundreds of years but we are continuing to worship, to praise God, to pray and to have fellowship together.  We are using many forms of technology to do this.

We are keeping in touch with one another and if you are new to this website and would like someone to talk to then please contact one of the ministers.

God is very much alive here in our lives and we are witnessing God’s love in a different way.  We must never forget that God is with us and that at the heart of the Christian Gospel is a message of hope, and that is something that the world could do with right now.

God bless

Debbie

We cover some five hundred square miles of rural mid Suffolk, stretching from Needham Market in the east, taking in Stowmarket as you travel west, across to the Cathedral town of Bury St Edmunds and then down to Sudbury. Delightful, picturesque villages can be found on the minor roads throughout the area which makes travelling through the countryside a pleasure.

Ten churches make up the Circuit, one of which, Christchurch in Needham Market, is a united URC/ Methodist congregation. From large town centre churches to smaller village chapels the Circuit seeks to give expression to our calling as worshipping, serving, outward looking, and caring communities.

Within the boundaries of the Circuit are The Martins, in Bury St Edmunds, a Methodist Home, providing housing and care for older people (www.mha.org.uk) and Culford School (www.culford.co.uk), a Methodist Independent Co-educational Day and Boarding School.

I hope you will enjoy exploring this website and discovering all that the churches of the Circuit have to offer.

With Every Good Wish and God Bless,

Rev Debbie Borda

Superintendent Minister
